Autumn and Winter.

The snow crunches under the feet. Clear, cool mountain air. The special aroma of snow. It is winter in the Tannheim mountains. A winter that feels like childhood. Perfect for lovers of simplicity. You do not have to queue here anywhere, and nerve-racking après-ski music is not to be found. The mountain huts offer not only savoury enjoyment but also amazing views into the valley, free of charge. Up here you can forget the world - or understand. However, there is one thing that the Gränobel guests really love: cross-country skiing and winter hikes. Both is possible straight from the chalet. The 140 kilometers perfectly tracked ski trails and paths lead straight up to one´s own house door. The 3.5 kilometer long toboggan run at the Krinnenspitze, curling on ice, a romantic horse-drawn sleigh ride or pass through the snow-covered hilly landscape along one of the 81 snow-cleared winter hiking trails are all additional highlights in the direct vicinity of your chalet. Ski hiking evenings in the Tannheim valley are also organised for the ski hiking enthusiast, where the ascent via the slopes is possible and where the mountain huts are open.

Your chalet is the ideal starting point for stress-free days in the winter wonderland of the Tannheimer Tal.

Skiing tours

The Tannheim peaks can be scaled via various routes. Very popular is the skiing tour from the sea of Haldensee onto the Sulzspitze peak. The approximately four-hour tour offers good snow conditions most of the time, however it requires a certain amount of experience in ski-touring during the ascent to the summit. The route from the village of Schattwald onto the Ponten is considered to be a classic and the most popular ski tour in the Tannheimer Tal. In particular, the ski tour from Haldensee onto the Krinnenspitze offers fantastic panorama views from the peak.
